Mick Norbury wants a response from his Maltby Main side at Barton Town Old Boys tomorrow night

Mick Norbury hopes Maltby Main can bounce back from a heavy defeat last time out when they travel to Barton Town Old Boys tomorrow night.
Maltby lost 6-0 at Tadcaster Albion – the game Jonathan Greening made his debut – and Norbury says his team already know that a response is needed.
Norbury said: “Last time we got beat 7-0 in the FA Cup, we went on a run of three games unbeaten.
“On Wednesday I won’t need to say a thing because they’ll know.
“They don’t like getting beat one or two-nil.
“They’re hurting, but on the flip side they know that you can’t compete with class like that.
“The dressing room I have got is all heart and they work their socks and that’s all you can ask for when you have no budget.
“You have four teams who are going to be competing (at the top) and if I get these boys between fifth and tenth then I have done a good job.
“I think I have the dressing room to do that.
“When you’re competing with Handsworth Parramore, Aquaforce, Tadcaster and Heanor Town, you’re up against it.”
Maltby have made a good start to the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division campaign.
The South Yorkshire-based team are settled in a mid-table position, but as Norbury admits, the top four will dominated by the teams expected to do well.
Looking at the title race, Norbury added: “There’s four in the mix and it is about who gets the best results in the games between each other because they are going to beat everyone else in the league.
“It will be exciting. There are four great sides.
“Heanor Town are a good side. They are a big, physical side. Handsworth Parramore are a good side.
“We haven’t played Shaw Lane Aquaforce, but I’ve seen them and they are a good side.”
