Stocksbridge-born Brodie Litchfield has re-signed for the Steels

Stocksbridge Park Steels have persuaded their young prodigy Brodie Litchfield to return to Bracken Moor.

The Stockbridge-born forward, once tipped to be the next Jamie Vardy, has left Mickleover Sports.

Litchfield has huge potential as he is still only 19. He broke into the Stocksbridge first team at 17 two seasons ago and his performances helped earn him a professional contract at Sheffield United.

Stocksbridge host Basford United tomorrow and the timing of Litchfield’s return is helpful as Non League Yorkshire’s October Player of the Month Joe Lumsden starts a three-match ban.
