County Cup heroes and promotion-chasers Selby Town bounced back from defeat last time out in the league by romping to a comfortable 4-0 win at AFC Emley.

Christian Fox’s free-scoring side, who stunned the Non League world in midweek with the West Riding County Cup semi-final victory at Tadcaster Albion, had the game sown up by half-time.

Young Ryan Woodhead fired Selby into an early lead when he converted magic man Joe Dale’s cross.

Dale was unsurprisingly involved again for the second as he supplied Liam Flanagan with the ammunition to score.

That was in the 32nd minute and within 120 seconds, Flanagan had gone around Emley’s goalkeeper to score the third goal.

Woodhead rounded off the win with Selby’s fourth and second straight after half-time.

Three late goals saw Swallownest celebrate a 5-0 hammering of Retford United. Jay McFadzean (2), Oliver Grady, Tom Cropper and Alex Lill scored.
