Lee Turner is back at Garforth Town

Mitch Hamilton and local hero Lee Turner have returned to add bite to Garforth Town’s attack.

The Miners now have most of their side that secured the club’s highest finish since the 2012/13 season six month ago. The pair were part of the surprise mass exodus that meant Rob Hunter add to almost totally rebuild his squad.

Hunter has done an excellent job doing that and Garforth hold an okay position in the league. Now with Turner, Hamilton and Mark Simpson, who rejoined recently, back in their attack, Garforth have an excellent opportunity to push on.

Hamilton chose to move to Liversedge in the summer, while Turner has been playing in the West Yorkshire League for heavyweights Hunslet Club, alongside the likes of former Non League footballers David Pickering (Farsley Celtic), Ben Thornton (Brighouse Town and Garforth), Ryan Grant (Wakefield FC) and Kieran Corley (Liversedge and Glasshoughton Welfare), as well as ex-Garforth players Ryan Donoghue and Luke Kitson.
