New Maltby Main manager Louis Axcell enjoyed a great start as he watched his side win 3-2 at Hemsworth Miners Welfare.

Maltby were 3-1 up at half-time after Will Eades (2) and Gavin King scored. Ryan Carroll pulled one back before the interval and would score again in the second half, but the Wells failed to find an equaliser.

Josh Dacre, Ehsan Mohammed, Johnny Pugh and Leon Howarth secured Handsworth an impressive 4-2 victory at AFC Mansfield.

On Wednesday night, Knaresborough Town were the headline grabbers after Luke Stewart’s late winner in the dramatic 3-2 victory at Yorkshire Amateur.

In a see-saw encounter, Ammers trailed twice. Niall Heaton cancelled out Will Lenehan’s opener before Ash Flynn made it 2-1 after Colin Heath had placed Paul Stansfield’s team ahead again.

Shaun Mundy got two and Nathan Keightley was also on the score-sheet as Penistone Church won 3-1 at Bottesford Town.
