Tom Greaves’ incredible first half volley was the top highlight Ossett United stormed to their first away BetVictor North West victory of the season with a very impressive 4-0 smashing of Brighouse Town.

The much-needed win gives Wayne Benn a great platform to build on in 2020.

Once as Bradford (Park Avenue) legend Greaves sent a rocket into the top corner on the stroke of half-time, Ossett never looked back.

Marko Basic turned on edge of box to score the second.

A Luke Porritt corner deceived everyone for the third and Jack Stockdill rounded off the win with a close range bullet header

Pontefract Collieries narrowed the gap between them and leaders Workington to five points as Joe Lumsden scored twice in the 2-1 victory.

Jacob Day (2) and Bokinji Lebrun were on the score-sheet in Tadcaster Albion’s 3-0 success at Pickering Town.
