More players have committed their futures to Vill Powell’s Brighouse Town next season.

The past seven days have been busy for Brighouse, who host local rivals Liversedge in the eagerly-anticipated West Riding County Cup Final on Friday night.

Powell has retained his experienced players such as Elliot Harrison, goalkeeper Brett Souter, Matty Nebard and Redmond Lee.

Their seventh-placed finish was an amazing achievement, especially considering the number of young players who were part of the side.

Five of them are in the latest batch of retentions –  winger Zander Edwards, goalkeeper Charlie English, Harry Wilkinson, Sam Reed and Harrison Beeden.

Star striker Laurence Sorhaindo and Corey Gregory have already committed to the club.

Powell wants to keep the group together and only plans to add a maximum of three new players during the summer.
