Farsley AFC goalkeeper Tom Taylor was the only Yorkshire recipient of an award at the Evo Stik NPL Players of the Year awards last night.

Taylor scooped the Division One North young player of the year award on a quiet night for the region at the Holiday Inn in Barnsley.

There was one other another positive as Darlington 1883 striker Nathan Cartman won the Player of the Year trophy for the Division One North.

Cartman scored 36 of his goals this season with Harrogate Railway between August and January.

Cartman was the only player in the three respective teams of the season to have a link with Yorkshire.

No Yorkshire player made the Premier Division and Division One South team of the season line-ups.

Nine players from the North West were in the Division One North team which also included Cartman and Chris Hunter from Darlington.
