The mass exodus from North Ferriby United to FC Halifax Town is well underway as Liam King and Tom Denton have moved to The Shay.

The pair will go down in history as two of Ferriby’s greatest players because of their involvement in the club’s most successful chapter.

They helped Ferriby win the FA Trophy last year and then promotion to Non League’s top flight last month. King notably scored the goal in the Trophy semi-final win which sent Ferriby to Wembley. He also scored in the final.

A positive for Ferriby is that former Guiseley striker Darryn Stamp has been appointed as Steve Housham’s assistant.
