Chris Jackson sealed Selby’s win over Pontefract

Selby Town ended a three-game winless run with an excellent 3-1 home win over Pontefract Collieries.

Selby enjoyed a brilliant start because of goals from Wayne Brook and Jack Stocks. Selby then had to hold their nerve as Mark Whitehouse dragged Pontefract back into it.

A Chris Jackson penalty in the second half eased the tension and Selby held on for the three points.

Rossington Main are up to eighth after goals from Andrew Wood and Jake Vernon secured a 2-0 victory at the expense of Campion.

Knaresborough Town drew 2-2 at Dronfield Town, Blaine Hobson and Fraser Lancaster scored.

Despite taking the lead through Steve Smith, manager-less Nostell Miners Welfare lost 2-1 to Ollerton Town.

Hall Road Rangers moved up to second after beating Yorkshire Amateur 4-1. Jamie Reeson (2), Joe Cooper and an own goal helped to overturn an early deficit.
