Armthorpe Welfare 0-5 Yorkshire Amateur

Ash Flynn scored a hat-trick against Armthorpe Welfare in Yorkshire Amateur’s 5-0 victory

Free-scoring promotion-chasers Yorkshire Amateur are showing no signs of letting up after another goal-fest – and inevitably another hat-trick from Ash Flynn.

The visitors took a very early lead when Lincoln Adams headed in following a 2nd minute corner but Welfare had a chance to equalise on 20 minutes when Darren Mansaram played in Liam Radford who shot just wide of the post.

The Ammers made Welfare pay for the miss four minutes later as the prolific Flynn followed up to score into an empty net after a good block by Adam Stevens to make it 2-0 on 24 minutes and two minutes later it was 3-0. Flynn was again the scorer, with a tap in after being set up by a good run by his strike partner.

On the half hour the Ammers made it 4-0 when Fernando Moke was played in behind the Welfare defence to beat Stevens and give the visitors a commanding half time lead.

Welfare stemmed the tide after the break but a trip by Will Ramsay on 77 minutes allowed Flynn to complete his hat-trick and notch his 12th goal of the season from the penalty spot to complete the scoring.
