Super Roy Fogarty incredibly scored twice for Liversedge in the dying minutes to cause a stunning upset in the world’s greatest cup competition.

‘Sedge won 3-2 at Evo Stik giants Rambottom United – their finest moment in years – to reach the first qualifying round.

The victory shows just what a magnificent job their brilliant manager Jonathan Rimmington has done since taking charge in 2015.

Devonte Morton had drawn ‘Sedge level before the interval, but a goal after half-time had seemingly sent Ramsbottom through.

However, Fogarty had other ideas as his 20 yard effort in the 89th levelled the tie.

‘Sedge did not settle for a replay and Fogarty soon sparked unforgettable scenes with the winner.

Handsworth Parramore’s quality shone through in the end in the 4-2 victory at Parkgate – Aaron Moxam, Jon Froggatt (2) and Jamie Green found the net.

Albion Sports beat Newton Aycliffe 2-1 – Omar Habeeb and Danny Facey scored.

Bridlington Town lost 3-1 at South Shields in a game that was streamed live on the Internet by the BBC.
