Ferriby get North West high-flyers in Vase

North Ferriby have been handed a FA Vase second round proper tie at one of the North West Counties League Division One North promotion-chasers.

Chris Bolder’s Ferriby will host Lower Breck who are currently in their respective league.

When the tie will be actually played is the same as asking ‘how long’s a piece of string’?

Liversedge will visit Guisborough Town.

Maltby Main have a tough trip to Consett.

Penistone Church are away too – at Longridge Town.

If Hallam can overcome AFC Blackpool whenever that tie is played they will host Shildon.

Sunderland Ryhope away is the reward for Hemsworth Miners Welfare if they win at Abbey Hey.

Regarding dates, the FA have said: “We remain in dialogue with the UK Government in relation to men’s ‘non-elite’ football in England and will release the fixture dates for the Trophy and Vase in due course.”
