Description of Career Highlight

Scoring the winner in the Mediterranean Cup semi final with the Rotherham Academy, involving teams like Ajax and Brazil youth squads. Massive underdogs.

Lowest Moment in Football

Being released from Rotherham United

Description of Most Memorable Match

Winning an FA Cup qualifying round match with Maltby Main away at Northwhich Victoria. All my family from Liverpool were watching so was a proud moment.

Funniest Moment in Football

Missing a penalty at 18 in an FA Cup match for Lincoln Moorlands in the 90th minute. I was got battered by the fans but then ended up getting the winner in the 94th minute. I’ll let you imagine my celebration.

First semi-professional manager and club

Ian Banks – AFC Emley – taught me a lot as I’d just been released from Rotherham.

Non League Debut

For Emley against Sheffield FC at 16/17 years of age, got elbowed in the face in the first five minute, welcome!

Description of First Red Card (at semi-professional level)

For Maltby away at Worksop, can be found on YouTube. It caused a riot, not a proud moment, don’t judge.

Description of First Goal (at semi-professional level)

Would have been a volley for Emley, Leeds Met away I think.

What do you want to achieve in football in the future

A promotion with Stocksbridge would be class. Play for for as long as possible at a good level before it’s taken away. This is what lockdown as made even more clear.

Favourite Non League Ground I’ve played at (barring your own club)

Always seem to score at Sheffield FC, great set up there. Ilkeston away last year was a memorable game, packed crowd, underdogs and we won 5-2, I think. Great little ground.
