Thackley set for new NCEL season

Thackley AFC

Thackley will be aiming to build on last season’s finish of fifth. Much of the side have stayed together and if Daniel Broadbent hits the same kind of form in front of goal again, the Bradford-based side will be hoping for a promotion push.

Reape took over in October 2014 guiding the side to finishing 12th two seasons in a row, before improving the sides fortunes ending up fifth last season. Reape was Bradford City apprentice back in his youth and spent three years at North West Counties League side Silsden.

One to Watch

Daniel Broadbent

Broadbent scored 14 goals last season helping Thackley finish fifth in the league. The striker started his career out at Huddersfield Town before moving through several clubs including a few loan spells. He spent two years at National League North side Hyde, where he bagged seven goals. The 27 year-old has already started scoring in pre-season bagging twice in a 3-1 away win against Steeton recently.
