Goole AFC will be hoping to take their second chance at surviving in the Evo- Stik Northern Division One North, after being granted reprieve from relegation. A new look side has been built under Karl Rose and the club will aiming for much less turbulent upcoming season.

Karl Rose is back at Goole AFC after five years away

Rose took charge in the summer and has had to bring in a whole new squad to do battle in the league. The 38 year-old has previously played for Goole back 2007 in a five year spell, which involved three years as manager. He most recently managed Frickley Athletic in the Evo-Stik Premier Division, however couldn’t stop the side getting relegated last season.

Waide Fairhurst

The forward has been brought in from Boston United. Last season he spent time on loan at Frickley Athletic where he scored once in 16 appearances. The 28 year old has previously played for Doncaster Rovers, Torquay and Halifax Town. His most prolific spell came at Macclesfield scoring 23 times in two spells at the club.
