Dodworth Miners Welfare have pulled off a major coup with the recruitment of their new striker.
Former Penistone Church sharp-shooter Sam Scrivens has joined Darren Young’s side.
Scrivens is best known for his stint with Church during their second placed finish in 2019.
His performances earned him a deal at Guiseley and even a trial with Partick Thistle and Chesterfield.
Scrivens is in line to make his debut in Dodworth’s unmissable derby clash with Wombwell Main (kick off 1.30pm) tomorrow.
Wombwell boss Terry Simon could wake up in cold sweats in the middle of the night following the news as Scrivens’ arrival hands his side a major challenge.
