Player/Manager Paul Beesley hit the vital winner for Harrogate Railway as his side recorded back-to-back league victories with a crucial 2-1 win over fellow strugglers Parkgate.
The afternoon actually got off to a disastrous start as James Handley struck for Parkgate inside a minute.
Popular defender Mike Morris restored parity before half-time. Beesley got the winner with 12 minutes to go.
Joe Walton powered Liversedge to a 6-0 victory over Garforth Town. Garforth were unlucky as they did create several good chances and had a stonewall penalty appeal turned down. Five of the goals came in the last 22 minutes. Ste Wales, Harrison Blakey and Jasiah Donaldson were also on the score-sheet.
Curtis Woodhouse’s winning start to life at Bridlington Town continued with a 2-1 win at home to Staveley. Jack Walters and Brett Agnew scored.
Pickering Town are capable of catching up with leaders Liversedge with their two games in hand and they won 3-0 at in-form Bottesford Town. Niall Tilsley, Ryan Cooper and Lewis Taylor did the damage.
Second half goals fired Thackley to 4-0 win at Athersley Rec. Tom Robinson, George Eustance (2) and Daniel Broadbent scored.
Handsworth Parramore had goalkeeper Archie Sneath sent off after just ten minutes for handling outside the area, but the Ambers held on for a goal-less at home to Hemsworth.
Brice Tiani blew the chance to win it for the Wells in the dying minutes as he missed a penalty.
Despite Karl Hall’s double, Albion Sports lost 4-2 to Cleethorpes Town.

Well well well, i was at the Sedge Garforth game and stood with a very annoyed Garforth parent Saturday, and to be perfectly honest your reporting is terrible. Sedge should have been three up at half time with Garforth not even having an attempt on goal. Yes Garforth did come out for the first ten minutes of the second half and tried to put pressure on Sedge but we can all ask for penalties from refs and have a shot that was going wide saved by the keeper, the one chance you should of scored with was a poor effort on your part but good defending by Porrit. That was Garforth’s one and only real chance in ninety minutes. Sedge on the other end sucked you in and hit you on the break and were clinical, also it was the worst i have seen Sedge this season as it was very scrappy due to well what i thought was the pitch. If Garforth would have won, it would have been major headlines but poor sedge who are top get nothing but you stating that they were a little lucky. You were not even at the game, also all you look on your site know you are a Garforth fan or from the area, it is embarrassing that you write such stuff and the local few teams round your area seem to be looked after with interviews and reports. If you are going to do this for the good of football you need to go to different grounds every week , by the way i know you were at Eccleshill ? , but probably didn’t want to come see Garforth against Sedge, i wonder why
