Garforth Town manager Graham Nicholas has persuaded a further four players to pledge their futures to the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side.
Aidan Lewis, Matty Thornton, Glen Wood and Karim Ibrahim all put pen-to-paper after the 1-0 defeat to Rossington Main on Saturday.
The quartet take the total of players on books to 14 and Nicholas still has plenty of trialists to look at. The Garforth chief will take a further look at them tomorrow night at Brighouse Town.
Thornton has played for Athersley Recreation and Shaw Lane Aquaforce, while Lewis featured for AFC Totton during their FA Cup run season in 2011-12 (when they beat Bradford Park Avenue 8-1) before moving North – he has previously trialled at Farsley AFC.
Wood was with Yorkshire Amateur last season, while Ibrahim has played for Alsager Town in the past.
“I’m delighted with the squad I am going to have,” Nicholas said on Saturday.
“I do have some players back for the Brighouse game, but it is also about playing some of the lads that are eager to sign.
“If I can get pen-to-paper (with them), I’ve no doubt that if we’re to play anybody, we’ll be a force to be reckoned with.”
Nicholas chose to leave most of his stars at home on Saturday and the likes of Andy Hawksworth and Liam Smith could return at Brighouse.
Curtly Martin-Wyatt was due to appear at Rossington, but due to the Tour de France restricting travel across Leeds, the striker had to pull out.
Nicholas was content with the display at Division One Rossington and he said: “The Rossington game was originally scheduled for the 26th, but I wanted to bring it forward.
“Not taking anything away from, they played well, but today was an opportunity for me to give opportunities to our lads for them to impress.
“Some have. I’m delighted with the ones I have signed already and who showed why in the game today.
“I’ve got to identify the ones who have impressed and who can form a good relationship with the squad.
“Curtly was meant to be playing today and we missed him. But, the three who started upfront were absolutely superb. We could have had five or six penalties, that is clear.
“But, the game wasn’t about whether you win or lose, it was about giving opportunities.”
