Gibraltar’s Priestley joins Ossett

Adam Priestley

Ambitious Ossett Albion have landed a coup in Farsley Celtic’s Gibraltar International Adam Priestley.

Priestley is one of the most proven strikers in the league from his prolific spells with Farsley, Shaw Lane, Garforth Town and Alfreton Town.

Phil Smith, the club’s director of football, told Non League Yorkshire: “We are delighted to have got our man. For some weeks we have been scouting a handful of players and *** fits the exact criteria of what we were looking for.

“Despite our league position we are very happy with the squad we have built and all the players know that this is the squad we will be working with in preparations for next season. They have all agreed to buy into our plan.

“The owners have instructed me and the management team to buy wisely. Although there is money we will not just throw it away without finding the right player who wants a future with us and not a quick pay day.”

  1. These people are clueless, director of football at Ossett Albion, when they are not even the biggest club in Ossett. Dave Haley very unfortunate but reality takes over when they have got what they have wanted. Players buying into what, they have Jason Price Adam Priestley maybe too long in the tooth. These leagues are not easy and there is no quick fix. Albion need a relatively experienced manager at this level

    1. Not the biggest club in Ossett? Thats incorrect. Ossett Albion is working progress. I honestly didn’t think the jealously would start this early but I understand. We will need to learn how to deal with idiotic comments as we move up the leagues. UTA
