Red Bates in action for Nostell in January 2017
Young winger Red Bates has signed first team forms at Liversedge ahead of their pre-season friendly with Hemel Hempstead at lunchtime.
The game is taking place at Brighouse Town. Brighouse lost 1-0 to Hempstead last night and will face a Huddersfield Town X1 at 3pm.
Bates is the son of former Nostell Miners Welfare manager Terry Bates, who is now on the ‘Sedge coaching staff.
The highly-rated youngster has previously played in the U19s and U21s side for Nostell and Ossett Albion.
