Handsworth reserves five-goal hero Pat Muirhead

Pat Muirhead scored six as Handsworth reserves brutally seized control of GROUP B with the incredible 11-2 thrashing of North Gawber.

James Woodhead was a hat-trick hero for new leaders Handsworth as well. Tiago Bravo and Sam Morley chipped in with the other goals.

Liam Marsden and Carey Welford scored for Gawber.

Houghton Main and Jubilee Sports shared the points after a 2-2 draw on Friday night.

Matt Stirland got two for Houghton, while Elliott Hall and Bradley Howe struck for Jubilee.

Wombwell Main are guaranteed a quarter-finals spot following their won 2-1 at Penistone Church reserves in GROUP D

Ryan Wingrove and ex-Worsbrough Bridge star Ash Emmett earned Wombwell their victory at Church.

Underdogs Kiveton Park are still in the fight for the last eight places as they smashed South Kirkby 6-0 at Wales High School. 

Alex Thompson got a hat-trick. Sean Ebbs, Josh Shepherd and Josh Littlewood also netted for Kiveton who are two points off Penistone in second. They play Penistone next and for Kiveton is a do-or-die game.

Justin Greenwood’s four goal haul was part of Swinton Athletic’s second blitz of Sheffield Town FC in the 6-3 win in GROUP C.

The clash was tighter than the score-line suggests and Sheffield led 2-1 at one point. Rida Hannioui, Marley Grant and ex-Stocksbridge Park Steels man Kler Heh found the net.

Ryan Doxey and Matt Thornton scored Swinton’s other goals.

Carlton Carty’s hat-trick helped propel Ecclesfield Red Rose 1915 into second place in Group C.

Kenan Mckenzie Grey also hit the target in Ecclesfield’s 4-1 win at South Elmsall United Services.
