Ambitious Dearne & District have made their opening gambit in their summer transfer market.
Ex-Stocksbridge Park Steels right-back Jay Palling was the first through the door.
Palling brings a lot of higher level experience from spells with the likes of Alfreton Town and Matlock Town.
The other signing is young attacker Carlton Carty who leaves Ecclesfield Red Rose 1915.
Carty played three times for Ollerton Town at the back end of the season and many had expected him to make a well-deserved move to Step 6.
