Terry Simon will walking on air around Wombwell this week having added three new players to his Main squad.
One is a very familiar face and he played a key role in Wombwell’s dramatic 2-1 win over Oughtibridge War Memorial in the League Cup first round tie.
Club favourite Gadhafi Kiwanuka, one of the best players in the league last season, has rejoined following a brief fling with Athersley Rec in the Toolstation NCEL Division One.
Striker Connor Peace, the ex-Wombwell Town man, also arrives from Athersley Rec.
The final signing is young gun Brad Green.
Both Green and Peace were unavailable for battle against Oughtibridge.
Hopefully he’ll not have to play “semi pros” in his side like last night. Maybe we should have a vote on clubs doing that. Feel sorry for Oughtibridge
