Ten man Eccleshill edge closer to Wembley

FA Vase

Despite having their goalkeeper Ed Wilczinski sent off in the 33rd minute, Eccleshill United edged closer to Wembley after winning 5-4 on penalties in their FA Vase fourth round tie against AFC Liverpool.

Wilczinki handled outside the penalty area, leaving Ryan Toulson’s side with ten men for over an hour.

Liverpool hit the crossbar in the second half but failed to take advantage of their extra man.

The game finished 0-0 and Liverpool had two spot kicks saved by young replacement stopper Isaac Khan, whilst another flew over the crossbar.
