Evo Stik Review: Farsley AFC finally win at Salford City

Farsley AFC finally ended their Salford City away hoodoo by winning 4-2 at the Evo Stik Division One North strugglers.
As a reformed club Farsley had never won at Salford and Matty James gave Farsley an early lead before Richard Smith equalised. Gibraltarian International Adam Priestley then put Farsley ahead close to half-time.
Paddy Miller increased the lead and with six minutes remaining Danny Hull scored a majestic goal.
Mark Battersby struck from the penalty spot to score a late consolation for Salford.
Ossett Albion’s precarious situation at the bottom of the table continued with a 2-0 home defeat to Cammell Laird.
Richard Tracey’s side are six points adrift of safety.
Harrogate Railway maintained their recent superb form with a 2-1 victory over Prescot Cables at Station View.
Veteran Colin Hunter scored a penalty to put Railway in front, but Prescot soon levelled with a Robert Doran goal. However, Billy Miller’s men had the last word as Nathan Cartman hit the winner.
Ossett Town were beaten 4-1 at Darlington 1883 – Calum Ward was on the score-sheet for Ossett for the first time since joining Craig Elliott’s side.
Wakefield, under the management of Stephen Crilly for the last time, lost 2-1 at Bamber Bridge.
Returning goalkeeper Danny Trueman was unfortunate to score an own goal just four minutes into his second debut, but Rob Bordman managed to level.
Tom Williams then struck in the 70th minute for Bamber.
Manager Paul Lines returns to the dugout next Saturday after serving a six-game stadium ban.
In the South, Scarborough Athletic didn’t let Lewis Clarkson’s departure stop them as Rudy Funk’s team staged a remarkable 3-1 victory over Halesowen Town.
Athletic were trailing to Halesowen with just 17 minutes remaining, but Peter Davidson, Bryan Hughes and Gary Bradshaw to keep the Seadogs’ good league form going.
Goole’s recent revival under David Holdsworth was halted as they lost 4-1 at Sutton Coldfield Town – Ashley Jackson the only scorer for Goole.
In the Premier Division, Frickley lost 2-0 at AFC Fylde.
