Curtis Woodhouse takes charge at Goole AFC

Curtis Woodhouse is the new manager of Goole after David Holdsworth stepped down after just three months in the job.
Holdsworth replaced Wayne Benn on the day Baron Bloom became the club’s chairman and expressed a wish to take Goole up the football pyramid in October.
The former Lincoln City and Mansfield Town manager won six, drew two and lost 11 of his 19 matches at the helm of the Evo Stik Division One South side.
In a statement, Goole thanked Holdsworth for his efforts and wished him all the best for future. Club chairman Bloom added: “We leave as friends. It’s just a parting of the ways and I’m very happy to have worked together.”
Bloom has turned to Holdsworth’s assistant Woodhouse to take over team affairs.
Woodhouse was manager of Sheffield FC last season and Bloom said: “I’m delighted to offer Curtis the job, he knows the league inside out.
“We hope his appointment will bring success to The Vikings. His knowledge of the game is second to none and he has my full support.”
