Wakefield manager Paul Lines says his team are ready for a crucial month

Paul Lines insists Wakefield FC are ready for battle ahead of a crucial month at the bottom of the Evo Stik Division One North table.
Wakefield welcome Clitheroe to Belle Vue tomorrow in the first of four fixtures that could define their season.
The Bears also face Padiham, Salford City and Prescot Cables, while bottom-placed Ossett Albion play Radcliffe Borough, Ramsbottom United, Mossley, Prescot and Northwich Victoria.
Lines said two weeks ago that February will have a huge bearing on the final reckoning and the Wakefield boss is confident of picking some important points.
“February is going to be a crucial month and we’re ready,” he said.
“Ossett Albion are playing Radcliffe tomorrow as well so there is a lot of pressure on teams now.
“We have to get some points on the board in February and if we play like we did against Farsley (last week) in the first half then I think we will.
“The chances will run for us better. No disrespect to the other teams, but they’re not the quality of what teams like Farsley are.
“We should hopefully get something during February and our battle is to stay in the league. With no budget and no money and the fact we are competing against the likes of Farsley like we are then we’re not a million miles away.
“There are no nerves in the dressing room (ahead of the crucial month). There never is and I don’t allow it. They’re buzzing.
“Even after the Farsley game they were fine. Games against Farsley, Darlington or teams up there are not ones we are realistically targeting.
“We just get what we can and do our best.
“It’s the ones like Padiham and Prescot and the teams around us that we realistically can win.”
