The job isn’t totally over: Triumphant Brighouse Town manager Paul Quinn wants his title-winning side to be the first team to reach 100 points in the NCEL

The banning orders are lifted, but triumphant Brighouse Town manager Paul Quinn will be hoping his decision won’t put the kiss of death on his bid to make history.
Brighouse will be presented the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division trophy after tomorrow’s game with Bridlington Town at the Dual Seal Stadium.
Whilst the champions can enjoy the occasion, Quinn, who will be joined by his whole family for the match, is aiming to reach 100 points – an achievement that has never been done before.
“We enjoy the last two games now, but I want to become the first Northern Counties East team to get 100 points,” he said.
“That’s my target now and I’ll be telling the players that. We won’t be messing about on Monday.
“I’d love to do it.”
He added: “Come and support us.
“There is massive potential at this club. We are representing a big town.
“We know we need to improve things on an off the pitch, we’re not stupid, we know that.
“We have a big catchment area around us and we feel we deserve more people coming through the gate.
“We had a big crowd today and last Tuesday so it would be nice to see the Brighouse people come out to congratulate us on our victory.”
Brighouse’s title win is 25 years after Quinn’s father Gerry achieved the same feat with Emley and the latter will make a rare visit to the club tomorrow.
The rest of his family had told to stay away until the title was secured so they will all be present for the trophy presentation and Quinn is looking forward to it.
“It’s nice that we have won it because I can my whole family here on Monday,” he said.
“I banned my missus Holly and the kids. My dad doesn’t come because he gets too nervous so he watches games for us.
“My gran lives in Brighouse, but she has never been because she doesn’t want to put an omen on it.
“She is coming on Monday. I said they could all come if we had won it. For the first time they’re all be here and it will be a proud moment.”
