Promotion-chasing AFC Emley have received a huge boost ahead of tonight’s Toolstation NCEL Division One trip to Teversal.
Predatory striker Ash Flynn has returned to the Welfare Ground – 18 months after leaving.
Flynn is an immensely popular figure at Emley for his spree of 42 goals during the 2012-13 season.
His exploits attracted attention of other clubs and he moved to Shaw Lane Aquaforce – scoring 28 times during their promotion campaign.
He also scored twice against Emley for Shaw Lane before being sent off in the remarkable 3-2 win for Emley in January.
Flynn joined Frickley in the summer, but has rarely played and unable today, he was registered with Pontefract Collieries in the NCEL.
Emley chief Darren Hepworth has already taken to Twitter to speak of his delight about Flynn’s return.
