AFC Emley manager Darren Hepworth promises that his side will attack at Pontefract

It is top versus third in the Toolstation NCEL Division One fixture list tonight and Darren Hepworth insists AFC Emley won’t be sitting back at Pontefract Collieries.
Leaders Emley will go six points clear of second-placed Clipstone with a win and that’s exactly what Hepworth is aiming to do.
But he is well aware that his side face a huge test against a Pontefract side, weather-permitting, who have lost the same number of games as Emley – three.
Hepworth told Non League Yorkshire: “Well it is not going to decide promotion or not tonight.
“But is it going to be tough? Absolutely. Pontefract always is.
“We know that Nicky (Handley) and Duncan (Bray) will get their lads up for it.
“We will be prepared for that. We have a game-plan and hopefully our game-plan will be enough to bring home the three points.
“That’s what we are aiming to do. We’re not going down there to see out a 0-0 draw.
“That’s not in my philosophy. We’ll go there to try and win the match.
“Every game is a big one in this Division, I know it’s another cliche.
“Particular when you are top of the league, you’re there to be knocked off.
“Ponte are there on merit and are putting pressure on and they have had a good season so far.”
Hepworth is hoping to add one more new face to his squad for the trip to Ponte.
Hepworth added Kurtis Noble last week as he looks to bolster his promotion-chasing team.
The Emley manager added: “It is very tight (at the top of the table) and you have to go from game to game.
“There is a long way to go and a lot of football to be played.
“We want to take the league, that’s our mentality. We are about going game to game, doing our job and learning from it.
“I’d rather be at the top because we have tried to do it the other way round and found out how that is.”
