Karl Rose has once again dipped into the Toolstation Northern Counties East League for his latest prodigy by signing prolific Liversedge striker Andy Wood.

Wood was a shining light in a disappointing season for Liversedge and has been regularly chased by other clubs.

Frickley boss Rose has previously enjoyed success with imports from the NCEL such as John Cyrus and contracted forward Reece Thompson.

Frickley are heading into the new season without their talisman Gavin Allott, who has joined Shaw Lane Aquaforce.

Rose has also signed 19-year-old Tyler Williams from Leek Town and 18-year-old Ryan Smith.

Of the squad which kept them in the Evo Stik Premier Division and won the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup, seven players are committed to staying at the club.

Luke Hornsey, Luke Jeffs, Luke Hinsley, Macauley Parkinson and Bobby Johnson are signed up.

Thompson and Brad Dockerty are already contracted.
