New era at Hall Road Rangers starts

Over 350 people watched Hall Road Rangers’ new era at Haworth Park start with a 5-1 defeat to FA Trophy winners North Ferriby United.

Ferriby certainly didn’t hold back and stamped their class on the game as early as the third minute when Adam Nicklin’s kick was flicked to the near post by Clarkson for Ryan Kendall to slow home on the turn.

Rangers new boy Chris Hudson pounced on a ricochet to blast home past the stranded Nicklin to draw Rangers level on the 15th minute.

The villagers regained the lead on 29 minutes as Adam Bolder fed Curtis Bateson on the right and his perfect cross was headed home by Kendall for his second.

Big changes were undertaken in the second half with Rangers fielding a new eleven with Ferriby mostly following likewise. This half was dominated by Ferriby who went further ahead on 63 minutes through Tom Denton.

Additional goals from Dan Emerton and Jamie Forrester to make the final score 5-1 to the Villagers.
