Rossington Main became the first team to have a point taken off them by struggling Lincoln Moorlands Railway following the 1-1 draw at Oxford Street.

Perennial crisis club Lincoln were looking to arrest a slide of six consecutive Toolstation NCEL Division One defeats and a second half equaliser earned them a point.

Rossington were aiming to bounce back from the 5-0 defeat at Glasshoughton Welfare – a match that they had created a whole host of chances in, but somehow succumbed to a heavy score-line.

Former Matlock Town midfielder Jason Stokes appeared to have set Rossington on their route back to winning ways with the opener – a powerful strike that was too strong and had too much height for Lincoln goalkeeper Craig Turner.

Instead of collapsing, Lincoln fought back and almost levelled when Rossington defender Phil Blunt had to clear the ball off-the-line.

Lincoln did eventually equalise on the hour as Ward Wisdom-Lockwood was able to beat the offside before sliding the ball low and hard past goalkeeper Simon Dye.
