Ollie Fearon came back to haunt his old club Worsbrough Bridge after scoring a hat-trick in Penistone Church’s 6-1 victory.

The win keeps Penistone in pace of their play-off chasing rivals. Church hit the front foot straightaway as inside two minutes, Danny Barlow converted a free kick past Christian Bark.

Danny Joynes soon added the second and old boy Fearon slotted home the third on 41 minutes. Worsbrough, in fairness, did hit the post through Luke Forgione before Alex Gillespie’s header gave them hope on the stroke of half-time.

Former AFC Emley striker Steven Kenworthy dealt the decisive blow to Worsbrough three minutes into the second half after lobbing Bark.

Fearon, who started the season at Worsbrough, completed his hat-trick with two goals in the final few minutes.
