Hemsworth Miners Welfare 5-2 Selby Town
League leaders Hemsworth Miners Welfare took full advantage of title rivals AFC Mansfield’s slip up.
Mansfield were well beaten at Winterton Rangers which meant Hemsworth were able to extend their lead at the top to five points.
It wasn’t Hemsworth’s finest display of the season, but at this stage of the season it does not matter. Danny Critchlow put the Wells ahead after just two minutes before Shane Kelsey doubled the lead before half-time.
Chris Jackson brought Selby back into it, but strikes from Harry Viggars and Critchlow put the match beyond their visitors. Luke Thompson’s goal in the final minute was a mere consolation for Selby.
Hallam’s unbeaten away run ends
Hallam’s remarkable unbeaten away record came to an end in the 2-0 defeat to title-chasing Bottesford Town.
Worsbrough Bridge showed some fighting spirit to come back from 2-0 down against Teversal. But, unfortunately it was another defeat for them as Teversal hit a late winner.
Russ Eagle and Shirebrook Town’s bid to secure a play-offs spot looks strong after a 2-0 win at Westella VIP.
Rossington Main lost 3-1 to a clearly recovering Lincoln Moorlands Railway side.
The result of the day belongs to Winterton, who beat Mansfield thanks to goals from Kingsley Wetherald (2), Rhys Vazquez and Ben Silburn.
