Hallam 3-1 Selby Town
The Michael Blythen show has placed Hallam’s destiny in their own hands as his hat-trick downed Selby Town with a stirring second half comeback.
One more victory out of their final two matches will take Hallam’s brilliant season into extra-time with the lottery of play-offs.
The night though wasn’t going to plan for Hallam when Luke Durham gave Selby a half-time lead with a low hit shot.
But danger-man Blythen intervened, netting the equaliser after a mistake from Selby goalkeeper Ciaran Gibson.
Hallam then mounted their attack for the winner. Blythen went through to score his and Hallam’s second in the 76th minute before completing his treble in the dying seconds.
