Wayne Benn, Non League Yorkshire’s manager of the season
Title-winning Hemsworth Miners Welfare chief Wayne Benn has won Non League Yorkshire’s manager of the season vote for the second year running.
Benn finished at the front of a competitive contest which attracted 950 votes.
Benn was always a front-runner after guiding Hemsworth to the Toolstation NCEL Division One title with a few games to spare.
Maltby Main duo Mark Askwith and Spencer Fearn got second place. The pair oversaw Maltby’s best season in 20 years.
Third place went to Frickley Athletic boss Karl Rose, who led his side to a seventh-placed finish in the Evo Stik Premier Division.
Benn will be presented with the manager of the season trophy at a later date.
