North Ferriby United hero Wayne Brooksby has signed for Simon Weaver’s Harrogate Town.

Winger Brooksby scored the equaliser in Ferriby’s play-off final victory over AFC Fylde.

He was also part of Guiseley’s side that won promotion last year. He is Harrogate’s second signing of the summer after Simon Ainge.

The news of his capture is the latest update on a busy week at the CNG Stadium.

Manager Weaver has confirmed that Harry Coates, Paul Clayton, Luke Foster, David McGurk, Jordan Thewlis and Brendan Daniels have left the club.

Staying at Town are Peter Crook, Lewis Turner, Danny Ellis, Luke Shiels, Joe Colbeck, Paul Thirlwell, Lloyd Kerry, Warren Burrell, Jack Emmett, Tom Platt and Dominic Knowles.

Louie Swain, Andy McWilliams and Matt Bloomer are in negotiations with Town.

Andy Gascoigne, Ryan Fallowfield and James Cadman have been invited back for pre-season training.
