Stocksbridge Park Steels have lost their top goal-scorer Rory Coleman to Ilkeston FC.

The left-back struck 21 times as the Steels came within a whisker of the play-offs. He was also part of the side that did so well in the FA Trophy – a run which included a win over Ilkeston.

Speaking to Ilkeston’s website about his goal-scoring heroics, Coleman said: “It was weird to get that many goals in one season, eleven of them were from the penalty spot and five free kicks.

“It was great return on goals for me last season. I like to get forward and I think I’ve got a keen eye for goal, I like to get shots off and I’ve always been pretty good from a dead ball situation all the way through my career.”
