Dwayne Mattis is the new assistant manager of Liversedge

Former Huddersfield Town midfielder Dwayne Mattis has been appointed as the new assistant manager of Liversedge.

Mattis will be working alongside Sedge boss Jonathan Rimmington and his coach Darren Attwood.

Huddersfield-born Mattis started his career with his hometown club and went onto to make 68 appearances for them. He went onto play for Bury, Barnsley, Walsall, Chesterfield and Macclesfield in the Football League.

He made his first steps into management last summer after taking charge of West Riding County Amateur side Newsome.

Sedge, who are hoping to build on their spectacular end to the season, are holding their first training and trials session on the 21st June. Prospective players are asked to email jrimmo@aol.com with their name, phone number and a small biography on their football career.
