Neil Parsley and John Deacey are officially working together again after the latter was appointed as the club’s joint manager.

The former Bradford (Park Avenue) chief has been helping Farsley out, without a title, since last November.

He has a long association with Farsley, stretching back to the 1990s when he was signed by Martin Haresign as a player. He served as assistant to Haresign and then Lee Sinnott, who he helped win win three promotions in four years.

Deacey replaced Sinnott and was in charge at Farsley between December 2007 and October 2008. Parsley served as Deacey’s assistant during those ten months before going onto take over in the top position himself.

“I am very pleased to be coming on board with Neil to be joint managers of Farsley Celtic,” Deacey said.

“I’m a Harrogate lad and came to Leeds through my business, and I have a great affection for the Football Club.

“I enjoyed my time here working with Marin Haresign and Lee Sinnott a few years back, when we had great success, and I am looking forward to getting going again.”

The appointment fills the void by Lee Connor, who stepped down as assistant manager on Tuesday night.
