Paul Foot has quickly filled the vacant manager’s position at Barton Town Old Boys.

Foot had been the favourite for the post from the moment Dave Anderson dramatically resigned on Tuesday night after six very successful seasons at the helm.

The former Scarborough Athletic joint manager and North Ferriby captain faces a massive task as he needs to totally rebuild Barton’s team.

Because of unhappiness at the way the club was being run prior to the recent arrival of new chairman Mark Gregory, players have walked out en masse. Many have gone to Dave Ricardo’s Hall Road Rangers.

Foot is holding his first training session on Tuesday night. Barton will also announce his backroom team on the same day.
