Rail and Emley get first league victories

Harrogate Railway and AFC Emley both clinched their first league victories of the new campaign.

Railway won 3-1 at Athersley Rec. Steve Bromley broke the deadlock after five minutes, a goal which was quickly cancelled by on fire Athersley striker Kai Hancock.

Marcus Day and George Mason sealed Railway’s victory.

Emley were comfortable 5-1 winners against Teversal at the Welfare Ground in Division One.

Kieran Ryan (2), Tom Brennan, Jordan Townsend and Ash Flynn scored.

Hallam surprisingly lost 2-1 at Brigg Town. Jake Currie scored.
