Shaw Lane were missed out of the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup first round draw
Last season’s Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup ended in farcical circumstances. Now the new competition has got off to a ridiculous start as the first round has had to be redrawn.
The County FA placed several teams, including Shaw Lane, in the wrong draw, meaning it has had to be done again.
The latest PR disaster is the last thing the County FA needed after the Senior Cup final debacle last season. During the previous season, the FA kicked Athersley out for fielding an ineligible player, before reinstating them.
