New manager Lee Morris says Frickley Athletic are going to throw the kitchen sink in a bid to get their season kick-started.

The club’s legendary striker returned to Westfield Lane ten days ago as the replacement for Karl Rose and the visit of Workington tomorrow night is his first home game in charge.

Frickley have lost all seven of their league games and they sit bottom of the pile.

“We’ve got four home games coming up and we have got to get a lot of points out of them,” Morris told Non League Yorkshire.

“It is a pretty desperate situation because we’ve lost every game. If you include some of pre-season, its a run of 11 games.

“We must get something out of the Workington game because we need some points on the board.

“The gap (between Frickley and safety) is already seven points and that’s a lot to make up. We don’t want it getting bigger.

“It is a very similar situation to what it was like when I went into Goole. They hadn’t won for a lot of games and they were accepting defeat as normal.

“Losing run can be a disease because it can come naturally, just like winning runs can. We need to snap out of it and get the dressing room buzzing again.

“We’ve got Workington tomorrow at home and we’re going to really go for it.”

Frickley could have some new faces in the side which will face Workington as Morris is burning the midnight oil on potential deals.
