Ombeni Ruhanduka (Duka) signed for Goole two weeks ago, but the Scottish FA are taking their time over granting International Clearance

Duka has not made his debut for Goole AFC because the Scottish FA has yet to grant international clearance.

The former Bridlington and Hall Road Rangers attacker, whose full name is Ombeni Ruhanduka, spent some of last season and the start of the current campaign with Scottish Amateur League side Motherwell Thistle.

He has now returned south so when he signed for Goole, they had to apply to the Scottish authorities for international clearance. Two weeks on, they are still waiting.

“I expected it to be sorted overnight, but we’ve been told it could take four weeks,” Dave Anderson told Non League Yorkshire.

“When we played at Colwyn Bay I spoke to their manager and he was always having problems with the Welsh FA when he signed any English players.

“It is a ridiculous rule and it is just frustrating because the lad just wants to play. It is not fair on him.

“He signed two weeks ago and we could have to wait another two weeks before he can actually start playing.”
