Resurgent Goole AFC cruised to a 4-1 victory in the six-pointer clash with Burscough at the Victoria Pleasure Grounds.

The win, their second in a row lifted them to third-bottom and it was another superb performance from Dave Anderson’s men.

David Taylor’s thunderous volley put Goole ahead and Curtly Martin-Wyatt soon added the second with a converted penalty after captain Derry Robson was fouled.

Dennis Sheriff’s header brought Burscough back into it, but Lewis Dennison restored Goole’s two-goal lead.

New boy Duka, whose international clearance from the Scottish was finally granted last week, sealed Goole’s victory in the final minute by nutmegging Burscough’s goalkeeper.

Gib Bojang’s goals were in vain as Ossett Albion were beaten 4-2 at home to Kendal Town.

Benny Igiehon and David Brown scored for Scarborough Athletic in the 2-2 draw at Droylsden.

In the Premier Division, Frickley lost 3-2 at home to Barwell. Noel Burdett and Nathan Valentine got Frickley’s goals.
