A solid away performance by Maltby Main saw them come away with all three points in a well-contested game.

Ryan Carroll came close on 8 minutes just lifting a chance over the bar, whilst Bottesford had some half chances at the other end.

Carroll then struck the bar on 28 minutes before opening the scoring on 29 minutes, with a fantastic left footed effort.

Main doubled the lead when Daniel Reilly set up Steve Hopewell from a set piece to give Main a 2-0 lead.

Bottesford applied plenty of pressure in the second half, which also saw the referee issue several yellow cards. Main defending resolutely, but Gareth Barlow hit home with ten to go to give Main a nervy last few minutes.
