Sam Fewkes has joined Athersley to get more experience
Young midfielder Sam Fewkes has joined Athersley Rec to get more experience under his belt.
Fewkes is registered with Stocksbridge Park Steels, but his NCEL registration belonged to Handsworth Parramore until Athersley completed the transfer.
He is the second young player that Stocksbridge have ‘loaned out’ this week as right-winger Ben Rhodes joined Penistone Church in time for the Bank Holiday Monday fixture with Eccleshill United.
The earliest chance for Fewkes to make his Rec debut is on Saturday at Harrogate Railway.
